No one knows more about achieving a lot in a short space of time than a sports champion. With a whole delicious summer of sport ahead, we decided that now was the perfect opportunity to quiz some of our favourite female sports icons to get to the heart of their success as fast as possible. Our key takeaway? Don’t hit snooze.
The Time Trial with Laura Robson
Robson started her career at the tender age of 14, winning the Junior Wimbledon Championship before graduating to the adult game and picking up a silver medal at the Olympics. Now Robson is making history off the court as Tournament Director of Queen’s, bringing the women’s game back for the first time in 52 years. Before returning to Wimbledon as commentator this week, Robson took on arguably the greatest challenge of her career to date: the time trial.
How many times do you hit snooze in your alarm?
None at all, because my dog wakes me up.
What's the one goal you want to achieve next?
I want another dog, but I know I shouldn't.
Favourite celebrity spot in the stands?
Brad Pitt, Wimbledon. It was like, you're watching the match but also watching him watch the match.
Do you have a prediction for the Wimbledon women's champ this year?
Sabalenka.
What’s the thing you miss the least about competing?
Losing
Who's your sports icon?
Easy one: Steffi Graf.

Always without.
What do you think has been the secret of your success?
Just saying yes to everything.
