Harlow Carr RHS Gardens

Harrogate and North Yorkshire have no shortage of beautiful outdoor space, and the Royal Horticultural Society’s Harlow Carr Gardens is no exception. The expansive park has a mix of landscapes to explore, from wildflower meadows to woodlands, expertly tended gardens and a collection of Grade II historic buildings like the Old Bath House.

Mercer Art Gallery

The Mercer Art Gallery is known for its impressive permanent fine art collection alongside an ever-changing array of contemporary exhibitions from 20th and 21st-century artists. The gallery is housed in a historic building built in 1806 as the spa town’s ‘Promenade Rooms’ - a place for attendees of the natural spa and medical facilities to extend their stay.

The Valley Gardens

Located over 17 acres, Harrogate’s Valley Gardens are English Heritage Grade II Listed gardens that contain more of the area’s famed natural springs than any other site. There’s plenty to explore throughout the grounds, from perfectly manicured gardens to the Sun Pavilion and cafés.

Get a glimpse into the unapologetically characterful world of interior designer Patrick Mele at his store on William Street. After building an impressive résumé that includes stints with Kate Spade and Ralph Lauren, Patrick turned his expertise to the world of interiors. His eponymous store features a curated selection of treasures, ranging from vintage furniture and trinkets to handmade rugs, and a healthy serving of bold + bright colour.

TO SHOP

The outside of the ME+EM store in Harrogate.

ME+EM

Find us on Prospect Crescent, inside a Grade II–listed former bank, which includes two original vaults tucked away in our stockroom. It may be historic on the outside, but inside you’ll find our signature interiors of powder pink walls and custom-built bookshelves, as well as our latest collections carefully curated on outfit rails. Built between 1873 and 1880, it’s a landmark that helped shape late-19th-century Harrogate, and it’s the perfect location for our North Yorkshire home.
