How To Wear The Shade of the Season

Choosing a warm-weather event look that balances comfort and looking good can be tricky. But because this is intelligent design, we've put special consideration into this season's occasionwear by taking warmer climates into consideration with natural fibres and flowing cuts. 

As the name suggests, The Event Ready Jumpsuit is a natural choice for special occasions. The innovative mix of linen, organic cotton and Lyocell creates the ultimate warm-weather tailoring fabric with a blend of structure, fluidity and breathability. A round buckle belt cinches the waist, while cleverly placed triple pleats create volume through the leg, creating a flattering skim over the hip. 

Prefer a dress? You’re in luck. Our Knot Detail Maxi Dress comes in a slinky jersey that skims the figure and follows a column silhouette, complete with a chunky resin buckle securing flattering gathered ruching at the waist. Or opt for the classically elegant look of a cowl-neck, bias-cut silhouette with our Hydrangea-print dress, made from silk crepe that’s lightweight yet lined to eliminate transparency. The brown tones in the pattern are perfect for pairing with this season’s Summer Chocolate Sharp Shoulder Blazer.

AT THE BEACH

Our latest swim and beach launch includes a wealth of Summer Chocolate styles to choose from, and best of all, the intelligent colour-matched palette means you can put together the perfectly coordinated look with ease.

Let's start with the base, swimwear. We're introducing new hero shapes to our swim edit this season with our universally flattering Ruched Swimsuit and the minimal Square Neck Bikini Top and matching bottoms. Both styles feature removable straps for your choice of styling (and avoiding tanlines) and they're made using our signature Italian swim fabric that has a super-soft feel and bagged seams - this means the seams sit on the inside of the garment for a more streamlined look and a comfortable feel that doesn't dig in. Swimwear base sorted, it's time for the cover-up. Textural crochet and knits like our Scallop Stripe Top + Short co-ord or Stripe Knit dress + short are naturally breathable thanks to the cotton yarn and open-work construction, and they deliver just the right balance of sheerness and coverage. That means a seamless transition between beach or pool to alfresco lunch.

If you want an even lighter option that can be knotted as a skirt or a dress, then look to the Stripe Sarong. It's crafted from an airy blend of cotton and silk with intelligent colour-block stripes that match all our swimwear options.

TO THE OFFICE

Tailoring doesn’t have to mean the formality of a full suit. In fact, our tailoring is intelligently designed to encourage mixing, matching, dressing up + down. Making it perfect for mastering the in-office dress code. 

Our Summer Chocolate Tailoring consists of a fresh take on the classic three-piece arrangement. All made from an Italian linen and cotton blend, you can build your perfect look across the Sharp Shoulder Blazer, Seam Detail Waistcoat and your choice of trouser shape, Wide Leg Pleat or the Straight Crop.

If you want to balance out the tonal palette with a flash of lighter shades, then swap in pieces from the Very Useful Suit capsule. The Pinstriped Tailored Waistcoat pairs effortlessly with the Summer Chocolate Wide Leg Pleat Pant, thanks to the intelligently designed black and brown pinstripes. This means the mix-and-match styling potential of both suiting sets will last all summer + beyond.

FOR WEEKEND PLANS

Proving that relaxed styling doesn't have to mean feeling underdressed, we're blending smart tailoring with casual pieces to create the ultimate high-low weekend looks.

Taking the classic tailoring + denim combination in a new direction, this season's Summer Chocolate Blazer + Tailored Short is the perfect pair to layer unexpectedly with a denim shirt to bring a casual edge. Choosing the right tone of wash is important, so we've gone for the authentic blue of our Denim Forever Shirt and added in a classic white tee base.

The feminine-masculine balance of a floral dress and smart tailoring is a can't-go-wrong combination for polished weekend looks. This season's Midnight Hibiscus print comes in two dress shapes - mini and maxi - both come in textured stretch jersey and are detailed with flattering ruching around the waist. The pink and Summer Chocolate palette means it styles effortlessly with the Sharp Shoulder Blazer.

AS A CO-ORD

Co-ords are the year-round outfit hack for a polished look with half the effort, and this season, it's all about print + textures.

Proving that knit textures can work year-round, our bouclé pieces are knitted from an innovative cotton and linen-blend knit with a soft, textured surface. The co-ord set includes a slim-fitting vest top and a button-front short-sleeved top that can be worn layered together or separately. To complete the look, match the Summer Chocolate palette with our Multi Stripe tailored trouser. 

Uniting our statement Silhouette print with the ease and comfort of jersey, this top + skirt co-ord set delivers a high-impact look with minimal effort. We've developed the ultimate soft cotton jersey infused with just the right amount of stretch, which means the fabric of our basics has a naturally slim and comfortable fit. Intelligent design details like neckline ruching and adjustable halterneck ties add an elevated twist for styles like the Ultimate Halterneck Vest.

While intentionally thicker neckbands around our Tank Tops and classic Crew Neck Tees mean they don't lose their shape over time and wash cycles, so you always have a neat, structured finish that sits comfortably under jackets and blazers.
