Winter's bespoke printed clothing - from floral dresses to patterned blouses - rethinks a classic winter wardrobe. The collections’ prints echo the bright lights of a pre-Christmas buzz and break through January’s post-festivity gloom. December offers a palette cleanser of monochrome and rich neutrals brightened by electric pink that debuted earlier in 2023 while January turns up the volume on colour with bright olive and fresh blues countered by khaki and navy chosen in their most flattering shades.
Daisy Polka Dot
A design that distils daisy illustrations down to their smallest iterations to create what appears as a polka-dot print from afar. It’s scattered in black and white over pure silk outlined with contrasting trims to create an ankle-skimming print maxi dress topped with long sleeves to address winter’s cooler temperatures and is reimagined in olive and cream over a long-sleeved top accompanied by an optional scarf. Because of these more minimalist palettes, a full spectrum of colours, as well as classic neutrals, are at your disposal when you come to outfit-build around this patterned clothing. Star Flower
The clue is in its name: the Star Flower print combines two motifs in one to create a repeated graphic pattern inflected with pops of electric pink. Disrupting a more pared-back tailored look or introducing intrigue to off-duty pairings, the print covers our Star Flower Print Pussybow Blouse signed off with contrasting striped cuffs and gold-toned buttons at the adjustable neckline. Thought to have originated in France in the 1900s, the Honeysuckle print we’ve based our design on brings together small illustrations of the flower in a spectrum of colours and a black backdrop. We chose to hero two key colours we’re celebrating throughout our collections - olive green and powder blue - to effortlessly pull together looks built around the shades or to brighten classic neutrals. It covers a print blouse crafted from a silk-and-cotton blend outlined with ruffle trims that breaks up a head-to-toe look and introduces bold colour and print to classic workwear pairings.
Dark Cherry Blossom
From an archival collection of prints dating back to the 19th and 20th Centuries, our Dark Cherry Blossom started life in the 1900s. Over 100 years later, it’s brought into the 21st Century in a striking monochrome palette over our Silk Organza Cherry Blossom Print Maxi Dress complete with arm adjusters to keep decorative cuffs out of harm’s way and practical pockets flatteringly positioned towards the front of the side seams for a bulk-free silhouette. Rose
Also known as Guirlandes des Roses, this print is another design with a questionable birthdate that lies anywhere between the 60’s and early 90’s. Filled with key collection colours that tie back to our curation of tailoring and knitwear for outfit-building ease, it covers a floral blouse and a print midi dress in its blend of olive green, navy, pink and powder blue. A true transeasonal pattern, its lighter shades complement springtime palettes while its grounding neutrals speak to winter staples - think black leather boots, and navy knitwear.
