Ski season gives a new meaning to resortwear, from packing, to plane, to piste. So whether you’re in the Alps or the Rockies, an expert black diamond skier or a lover of the leisurely scenic route, one thing remains the same: you’ve got to be prepared with intelligent, buildable layers. Luckily for you, that’s our speciality. We’ve put together everything you need to master ski season in style.
JOURNEY TO THE MOUNTAINS

An airport outfit on any given trip calls for adaptability, but even more so when you're stepping into snowy climates. In-flight comfort is a must, but it doesn't mean sacrificing polished style. New Travel Tailoring options fit the bill. Crafted from soft ponte jersey fabric, this jacket and wide-leg trouser co-ord spotlights a bold graphic pattern with a textured, jacquard surface. The jacket's subtly structured fit provides room for lightweight layers underneath while maintaining a clean silhouette. Accessories will be your best friend in and out of the cabin, so make sure you've got a cosy hat packed in your carry-on, and keep the aptly titled Travel Scarf or the colour pop cashmere Triangle Scarf draped around your shoulders, ready to combat over-zealous on-board AC.
BASE LAYER BREAKDOWN

You’ll have heard us talking about the importance of strong outfit foundations before, and when it comes to outfit building during ski season, it’s all about the right base. The perfect ski base layer ticks three boxes: lightweight, warm and breathable. So choose fibres like merino and cotton that have natural temperature-regulating properties. Long sleeves are essential, but there's no rule to say they have to be boring. Look to practical styles with a twist, like the Slim Baseball Top or the Double Layer Top.
APRÈS ESSENTIALS

You might be up bright and early to catch the first lift, or maybe enjoying a couple of gentle runs after a lie-in is more your style (no judgment here). Regardless, aprés is an essential part of every ski trip. Whether yours involves a hot chocolate or a spritz, it’s a chance to change into something more comfortable and enjoy a well-deserved break. Swap ski boots for something outdoorsy like our Hiking Boot, fitted with a rugged sole and a slight block heel for subtle elevation. If you're shedding your jacket in the sun, add a luxe layer like our zip cashmere hoodie for effortless warmth, and complete the look with a soft beanie to cover the inevitable helmet hair.
FIRESIDE AT THE CHALET

It's a cosy picture: day of skiing complete, après enjoyed and hotel sauna + steam facilities thoroughly utilised, now it's time to relax even further, preferably next to the fireplace. Such a specific occasion calls for a considered outfit to match, and our lounge options of choice include luxe cashmere + merino, from top to toe. A jumper with a detachable snood allows for customisable warmth on demand, and wide-leg trousers in a soft knit texture are naturally the most practical option for any plans that involve curling up.
DINNER AT THE RESORT

Ski trip dinners are usually a fairly relaxed affair, but you can still step it up from the practicalities of on-piste dressing. Swap the ski jacket and boots for something more luxurious but equally useful, like the Reversible Coat + Belt crafted from ultra-warming shearling and the Zip Front Boot. You don’t need to worry too much about stacking the layers for a toasty restaurant - especially if you're walking there bundled in shearling - so it’s the perfect chance to bring out your colour pop knitwear, or the blouse you packed just in case - velvety micro-cord is the ultimate elevated yet warming option.
